Per-service charges
The unit of Konnect billing is the service, not the call. A service is a logical upstream. Above five services, additional services price by the published per-service rate on Plus.
Plus includes dev portal, analytics, identity. Enterprise adds advanced governance, audit, hybrid-control-plane sovereignty, and SLAs that Kong will not publish.
OSS to Konnect break-even
Kong OSS is free at the binary level. The break-even versus Konnect Plus is sensitive to your ops FTE fraction and to whether you already pay an EKS or Kubernetes platform line.
